Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

ACTCA organises professional development events and learning activities to support members continue their professional excellence and growth. All ACTCA CPD events address core or specialist competencies as described in the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners (CICA Standards).

The ACTCA’s minimum standard for Professional and Associate Career Development Practitioners is 15 hours of CPD per annum. It is expected at least 8 CPD hours be structured learning activities. Up to 7 unstructured hours may count toward CPD. Both structured and unstructured hours are required to address the CICA Standards.

It is recommended ACTCA career development practitioners utilise ACTCA’s CPD Record to record, retain and provide evidence of their CPD. ACTCA’s Continuing Professional Development for ACTCA Career Development Practitioners booklet is available in the Member’s Room for members who prefer to record CPD in hard copy.
